The DVC is closely associated with the Toronto Vascular Centre (TVC), which is a state-of-the-art vascular imaging centre which is fully certified by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (IAC). Having IAC certification ensures that patient imaging is performed consistently at a very high standard only by Registered Vascular Technologists (RVT), and interpretation of the studies is performed only by physicians who are Registered Physicians in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). The quality of the imaging is continually monitored through a strict Quality Assurance Program. This allows this facility to provide appropriate vascular imaging studies to the highest standards available in order to ensure optimal patient assessment and outcome. The TVC takes pride in the professionalism and expertise of its imaging staff.
The DVC has been inspected and certified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) as an accredited level 1 Out-of-Hospital Surgical Facility and has appropriate on-site safety resources to provide safe and efficient care for venous patients. The Clinic is fully digital to ensure accurate and accessible record keeping. The DVC strives to provide a pleasant and safe patient environment.
The DVC performs approximately 800 venous procedures per year and assesses approximately 1000 new patients per year.
The TVC performs over 7000 imaging studies per year.
